North East England

The North East covers the regions of Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham, Teesside and Tees Valley - and has a distinctive regional identity and a strong sense of history. It is one of the most dynamic regions in Europe with a population of 2.6 million and 8,592 square km of territory.
