Technology management

Cels technology management undertakes a wide range of activities, varying from acting as the commercial partner for the North East Stem Cell Institute (NESCI) to assisting companies with the commercialisation and the development of business plans.

The technology management division identifies new projects and initiatives to exploit areas of technology expertise in the sector. The group works in areas such as medical device design and prototyping (through links with InSTeP), drug discovery, proteome analysis and research (NEPAF), development of regenerative therapies (RegeNer8), the development of products for the ageing population (ATL).

Cels also coordinates the ActiveAge initiative which focuses on ageing and the development of products designed specifically for the ageing population.

In addition the group also advises the North East Stem Cell Institute (NESCI) on commercialisation strategies for its emerging stem cell research.
